Data the extension handles
- Screenshots of the visible browser area after user-initiated clicks
- Page URLs and titles
- Labels, element types, and coordinates associated with clicks
- Capture status and ordered workflow steps
How data is used
This information is used only to build the step-by-step guide requested by the user and to display the live capture timeline in Chrome’s side panel.
Storage and transmission
Capture data is stored locally using Chrome extension storage. Before import it is not transmitted to us. It is not sold, and not shared with advertisers or data brokers. When you explicitly import a capture into the companion editor, the data moves to the companion webpage and is saved to your private Supabase account, including guide text, URLs, and imported screenshots. Your email and authentication session are used to sign you in.
Permissions
The extension needs access to normal webpages so it can observe authorized user clicks and capture the visible tab. Chrome-internal pages cannot be accessed. Side-panel, tab, and storage permissions support the live timeline, page context, and local persistence.
Control and deletion
You control when capture starts and stops. You can delete capture data by clearing the extension’s storage, removing the extension, deleting steps inside the editor, or contacting support to delete your account and cloud library. Clearing browser data signs you out but does not delete cloud guides.
Security and sensitive information
Screenshots can contain anything visible in the browser. Do not capture confidential, regulated, or personal information unless you are authorized to do so. The extension compresses screenshots and limits each capture session to 50 steps.
Children
The extension is a productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
